All-Star Jam Live at Graves Mountain Documentary Airing on BlueHighways TV May 24, 2012

Rural Rhythm Records is extremely proud to announce Rural Rhythm Records’ 55th Anniversary Celebration – The All-Star Jam Live at Graves Mountain  Documentary is exclusively airing on BlueHighways TV, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 12:00 pm ET and will be re-broadcast later in the year.  This highly anticipated program is in celebration of the live album recording “The All-Star Jam Live at Graves Mountain” album that received four International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award nominations last fall including ALBUM OF THE YEAR.

This special event was filmed and recorded during the Graves Mountain Festival of Music in Syria, Virginia in 2010 and MC’d by popular Sirius XM radio host, Kyle Cantrell.  It includes performances by:   Lonesome River Band, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Audie Blaylock & Redline, Mark Newton, Carl Jackson, The Crowe Brothers, Lou Reid & Carolina, Carrie Hassler, and Brand New Strings.  The album was produced by Mark Newton and recorded & mixed by the late Gene Daniell.

The historic project also picked up two nominations for the 2011 RECORDED EVENT OF THE YEAR award for the songs “Graves Mountain Memories” featuring Carl Jackson, Mark Newton, Audie Blaylock, Lou Reid, Russell Moore, Carrie Hassler, Sammy Shelor, Mike Hartgrove, Wayne Benson, Mike Anglin, and produced by Mark Newton and Carl Jackson; and “Lonesome River,” also received a nod with top notch performances by Lou Reid & Carolina featuring Russell Moore.

The fourth nomination was for Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year for the song “Goundspeed,” written by Earl Scruggs and performed by Sammy Shelor, Carl Jackson Brandon Rickman, Wayne Benson, Mike Hartgrove, Mike Anglin, and produced by Mark Newton and Carl Jackson.
