Debut at #6 on Billboard’s Top 10 Album Chart – God Didn’t Choose Sides

Last week, Sirius XM Radio’s Bluegrass Junction aired a Track by Track for the album. Host, Kyle Cantrell interviewed Sam Passamano (Executive Producer), Steve Gulley (Album producer) and Mark “Brink” Brinkman (Songwriter) where they discussed in detail the inspiration for the album, songs and artists that are part of this historic project.

Nashville, TN (August 16, 2012)  Rural Rhythm Records is very proud to announce a total of 18 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards Nominations.  The nominations were announced yesterday during a press conference held at the Loveless Barn in Nashville, TN.  Winners will be announced during the IBMA Awards Show held at the legendary Ryman Auditorium on Thursday, September 27, 2012.

 

Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out received a total of 7 Nominations includinng: Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Song of the Year (Pretty Little Girl From Galax), Album of the Year (PRIME TYME), Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year (Carroll County Blues), and Mandolin Player of the Year (Wayne Benson).  Four-time IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year award winner Russell Moore was again nominated in that category.

 

LIFE GOES ON by the Musicians Against Childhood Cancer garnered a total of 5 nominations with the song “Beyond the Sunset” with Doyle Lawson, Russell Moore, Jamie Dailey & Josh Swift picking up two Nominations – Gospel Recorded Event of the Year and Recorded Event of the Year.  “Manzanita by Tony Rice, Josh Williams, Aaron Ramsey, Aubrey Haynie & Rob Ickes received a nod forInstrumental Recorded Performance of the Year.  The title track, “Life Goes On” byCarl Jackson, Ronnie Bowman, Larry Cordle, Jerry Salley, Rickey Wasson, Randy Kohrs, D.A. Lonesome River Band Set To Thrill Fans with Three Nashville Performances This Week

The award-winning LONESOME RIVER BAND fresh off a Hollywood, CA performance this past weekend, will head back to Nashville today for three Nashville concerts this week.  The group will no doubt thrill fans with performances at MUSIC CITY ROOTS Live from the Loveless Cafe, SiriusXM Bluegrass Junction STUDIO SPECIAL taping, and WSM Radio’s STATION INN SESSIONS.

Following the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Press Conference this Wednesday at the Loveless Cafe where the organization will announce the final nominees for the 2012 IBMA Awards, the LONESOME RIVER BAND will perform at venue for the popular MUSIC CITY ROOTS. The concert kicks off at 7:00 pm and also includes performances by Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, The Isaacs and Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice.  Tickets are $10, $5 ages 6-18, $5 for students 19 and older that show a valid student ID, and free for children five and under.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. The Loveless Café is located at 8400 Highway 100 in Nashville, TN.

Fans are invited to attend a SiriusXM Bluegrass Junction STUDIO SPECIAL taping on Thursday, August 16 at 12:00 noon.  This special concert event by LONESOME RIVER BAND will take place in the theater at SiriusXM located at 509 Broadway, Nashville, TN.

Also on Thursday, August 16, LONESOME RIVER BAND will be featured on WSM Radio’s Station Inn Sessions. Rural Rhythm Records is extremely proud to announce Rural Rhythm Records’ 55th Anniversary Celebration – The All-Star Jam Live at Graves Mountain  Documentary is exclusively airing on BlueHighways TV, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 12:00 pm ET and will be re-broadcast later in the year.  This highly anticipated program is in celebration of the live album recording “The All-Star Jam Live at Graves Mountain” album that received four International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award nominations last fall including ALBUM OF THE YEAR.

Lonesome River Band remains in high demand for their live performances (watch video) where they continue to thrill audiences at concert halls, music festivals, Performing Arts Centers, TV shows, and a well-received return performance at the Grand Ole Opry.  In November 2011, the Lonesome River Band with special guest, Steve Martin performed on The Late Show with David Letterman in celebration of Sammy Shelor’s award for The Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass.  Martin and Shelor sat down with the late night host who proudly displayed the award followed by an incredible performance of “Molly” (NO TURNING BACK) by band members, Brandon Rickman (lead vocals and guitar), Mike Hartgrove (fiddle), Barry Reed (bass and harmony vocals), Randy Jones (mandolin and harmony vocals) along with Steve Martin and Sammy Shelor on banjo.
